the shell

ok, i know qdk was designed for (specifically) making games for ppl to enjoy, however out of sheer boredom and insomnia one night i had an eppiffany (sp?) and decided to start writing. What i am working on now is a shell for an operating system, using (you guessed it) qdk. When completed (if i get that far) it's going to completely replace (visually and audio only) the windows desktop. i know this next part sounds impossible (but i already have part of it working) it will be able to be "...accessed by both voice and keypad commands..." I have all the graphics, and sounds needed for this task, and i have already incorporated some of the voice commands with the use of another program called game commander that i instructed quest to run. What i need from you guys are some suggestions as to what all needs to be controlled from this interface if it is going to completely (asthetically) replace the desktop.

Woo! Science-fiction!

While you're at it, how about a shell that washes all my dirty laundry for me 'cos that kind of thing is a real pain. Oh, and maybe something to cook my dinner 'cos I don't like cooking. A shell to cover driving me to work every day would be cool as well.

Thanks in advance!

I think it's already been made, and it can even completely replace windows :

it's smarter, faster, nicer... and free

I don't know about faster - seeing as how mine takes longer just to load firefox (a whole 20 seconds longer sometimes).

Other than that, I'm a 50/50 guy, who uses and likes both for different aspects.

Oh, and forget about making something in QDK to replace the desktop - it'll never happen.
